Young, provides risk management services to Blue Shield of California. On August 26, 2024, Young announced that it discovered it had suffered a data breach where an unauthorized party gained access to certain systems within the company and acquired the sensitive information of 954,177 people. The information included at least: name, Social Security number, date of birth, and insurance claim information.
Although the breach was discovered on April 13, 2024, it was not until August 26, 2024 that Young provided notice to the victims.
