UC San Diego Health Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

On July 27, 2021, UC San Diego Health announced that hackers had gained access to its internal email networks. Between December 2, 2020 and April 8, 2021, the hackers accessed and exfiltrated the most sensitive information possible, including full names, addresses, dates of birth, emails, fax numbers, claims information (date and cost of health care services and claims identifiers), laboratory results, medical diagnosis and conditions, Medical Record Numbers and other medical identifiers, prescription information, treatment information, medical information, Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, payment card numbers, financial account numbers and security codes, student ID numbers, and usernames and passwords.
This information can be used to commit any number of frauds, including draining your bank account, committing identity theft, or misappropriating your funds. Affected individuals are now at serious risk and should take immediate action.
