Health Net Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation
Stueve Siegel Hanson, a national leader in data breach and privacy cases, is investigating potential claims against Health Net of California resulting from a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal and medical information.
On January 25, 2021, Health Net was notified by its vendor Accellion that its outdated file transfer platform was compromised by hackers. An investigation revealed that hackers had access to individuals’ full names, dates of birth, home addresses, insurance ID numbers, and protected health information, including medical conditions and treatment. Affected individuals are now at serious risk.
