Norman Siegel Featured Among Litigation Daily’s “Litigators of the Week”
Following the historic settlement in the Equifax data breach class action, The AmLaw Litigation Daily named the quartet of plaintiffs’ lawyers who led the class action as its Litigators of the Week. Norman Siegel was appointed co-lead counsel for the consumer plaintiffs in February 2018 and chaired the plaintiffs’ settlement committee.
Siegel and the team of co-lead counsel were interviewed by Litigation Daily about the case, which the publication notes resulted in a total cost to Equifax of at least $1.38 billion.
On the most challenging part of the case the feature quoted Siegel saying: “As chairman of the settlement committee, the most challenging part of the case was keeping several complex and technical components of the settlement moving forward in harmony, while also working with the team to navigate the case through the litigation, including a very challenging motion to dismiss.”
