Stueve Siegel Hanson Named Among 2020 Elite Trial Lawyers Finalists
American Lawyer Media and The National Trial Lawyers have selected Stueve Siegel Hanson as a 2020 Elite Trial Lawyers finalist. The firm was recognized in the category Privacy/Data Breach Law Firm of the Year for the second year in a row.
According to the publications, finalists honored “have demonstrated repeated success in cutting-edge work on behalf of plaintiffs over the last 15 months” and “possess a solid track record of client wins over the past three to five years.”
This is the first year ALM partnered with The National Trial Lawyers for its Elite Trial Lawyers awards, allowing the company to expand its reach. A complete list of finalists is available here. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in January.
Among the firm’s demonstrated successes and cutting-edge work during the consideration period was the historic Equifax data breach settlement valued at over $1.5 billion. Stueve Siegel Hanson partner Norman Siegel chaired the Plaintiff’s settlement committee and was instrumental in engineering the settlement that was significant not just for the dollar amount but its multifaceted relief for consumers.
This innovative approach has been applied by Stueve Siegel Hanson in numerous other settlements in some of the largest data breaches in U.S. history. The firm has a long track record of going beyond providing monetary reimbursements to develop resolutions that safeguard consumers by requiring massive overhauls of corporate security practices.
In addition to being named an Elite Trial Lawyers finalist, the firm’s industry-leading data breach and cybersecurity practice has received recognition this year from publications including Law360 and The AmLaw Litigation Daily.
