Firm Featured as Law360 “Practice Group of the Year”
Following the firm’s recognition as one of Law360’s Practice Groups of the Year for Food & Beverage, Stueve Siegel Hanson was profiled by the publication Jan. 30.
Law360 noted the firm’s 2018 landmark agricultural settlement with Syngenta, which secured $1.51 billion for corn producers and others affected by the seed giant’s release of genetically modified corn seed.
The article also made note of the firm’s model for contingency fee business litigation: “Unlike the majority of firms that operate by charging hourly fees, Stueve Siegel uses a risk-based model, where the firm’s eventual compensation depends on what is obtained for the client. [Patrick] Stueve says the model helps build tighter relationships with his clients by more closely aligning their interests in a positive outcome.”
Law360 quoted Stueve: “They know if we’re committing time to the case, it’s not because we’re trying to get paid by the hour, but because we’re trying to aggressively prosecute the case for a great result that ultimately benefits them and us.”
