Stueve Siegel Hanson Announces Alex Ricke Named Partner
Stueve Siegel Hanson is proud to announce that attorney Alex Ricke has been promoted to partner, effective January 1, 2023.
Since joining the firm in 2016, Ricke has built his practice representing workers, consumers, and small businesses. He has worked with partner George Hanson to co-lead scores of wage and hour cases. Spanning approximately twenty cases against casino operators for minimum wage, overtime, and tip violations, Ricke has secured settlements worth more than $60 million for casino workers across the country.
For example, he helped secure a $12.5 million settlement for minimum wage workers at two casinos on the East Coast, a result that’s believed to be among the largest tip credit settlements in the FLSA’s history. He also worked as the lead associate and day-to-day case manager in securing a settlement worth more than $56 million for Jackson County and a certified class of Missouri counties seeking the cost of removing and replacing guardrail end terminals that were linked to serious injuries and death.
“I have worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Alex for almost seven years and watched him develop a well-earned reputation as a premier wage and hour lawyer,” said Hanson. “I look forward to his continued success as he and our firm protect workers, consumers, and small businesses.”
Ricke earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri Law School and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Missouri. He has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers since 2016 and was chosen as one of Law360's Rising Stars for Employment in 2022.
