AWG's Antitrust Lawsuit Against Egg Producers and Trade Groups Resolved

After nearly four years of litigation, on September 2, 2014, Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP successfully resolved an antitrust lawsuit filed on behalf of Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc., Four B Corporation (d/b/a Balls Food Stores), Cosentino Group, Inc., Cosentino Enterprises, Inc., and Mid Am Food Enterprises, Inc.

This lawsuit alleged that more than twenty defendants conspired to reduce the supply of eggs in violation of the Kansas Restraint of Trade Act. Defendants' collusion resulted in higher egg prices and unprecedented profits for the defendants.
