Austin Moore Appointed as Co-Lead Counsel in Citrix Data Breach Litigation

11.14.2019

On November 6, 2019, Stueve Siegel Hanson attorney Austin Moore was appointed by a federal district court as co-lead counsel in consolidated litigation against technology company Citrix, Inc., after the company suffered a 6-month data breach affecting its current and former employees.

The lawsuits allege that between October 2018 and March 2019, cyber-attackers accessed Citrix’s networks and exfiltrated sensitive personal and financial information of its current and former employees, as well as their beneficiaries and dependents. Citrix discovered the breach only after it received a tip from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The consolidated cases are being prosecuted near Citrix’s Fort Lauderdale headquarters in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Moore is a national leader in data breach and privacy cases. He has represented consumers in many of the nation’s largest data breach class actions, including lawsuits against Target, the Home Depot, Anthem Insurance, Equifax, and Marriott, among others. Moore was recently named among Law360’s “Rising Stars” in the field of Cybersecurity and Privacy Law, which recognizes attorneys under 40 whose legal accomplishments transcend their age.
