Stueve Siegel Hanson Investigates St. Jude Heart Devices

Stueve Siegel Hanson is investigating claims that St Jude Medical Inc., a medical device manufacturer, failed to provide adequate security defenses for its cardiac devices that use St. Jude’s Merlin@home transmitter to remotely monitor the devices.

These Merlin@home transmitters are placed in a patient’s home and allow doctors to remotely monitor the device. . A recent study found the devices and the Merlin@home transmitter do not have adequate security measures which could potentially allow hackers to remotely disable  the devices or drain the devices’ batteries, putting the patient at extreme risk.

If you have an implanted pacemaker, cardioverter or defibrillator that wirelessly connects with a Merlin@home transmitter, we would like to speak with you.

Stueve Siegel Hanson has represented consumers in class actions involving medical devices in the past. If you believe you have a claim, contact us immediately by completing the form on this page or calling 888-756-6547.
