Emily Smith joined Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP in 2016. Her practice includes wage and hour litigation, and class actions, with a strong focus on client outreach and interaction. Before joining the firm, Emily worked as Associate Underwriting Counsel for a Fortune 500 company underwriting and closing commercial real estate transactions.

Emily earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas, School of Law, and was President of the Class of 2014. She earned a Certificate in Business and Commercial Law, and studied comparative international law and law of terrorism in Ireland. She interned for the Honorable David J. Waxse, United States District Court, researching and drafting memoranda and opinions on a variety of procedural matters.

A Wichita native, Emily received her bachelor's degree from  Wichita State University, magna cum laude, in 2010. She’s a rabid KU basketball and Sporting KC fan.  Ask her a trivia question about pop culture and she will likely know the answer. She was part of a team who won the Heartland Trivia League Champion in 2013.
